Book Club Members
Thank you for being here. If your book club is reading one of my books, or considering it, I am genuinely grateful. I did not write these books for credentials or accolades. I wrote them because I believe most people struggling with their health have been given an incomplete picture, and that giving them the rest of that picture is one way that I can give back to our community.
Book clubs are a wonderful forum. They bring people together along with broader perspective from their members. When ten or fifteen people with different backgrounds, different health histories, and different experiences with the medical system sit down and talk about what they read, something remarkable happens. The science becomes personal. The research becomes a conversation. And very often, someone in the room realizes that something in the book explains an experience they have been carrying around for years without having a name for it.
I have prepared free discussion materials for each book to help get that conversation started. Download them, use them freely, add or remove questions as you see fit. And feel free to go off-script whenever the discussion takes you somewhere more interesting. If your club would like me to join a meeting virtually, whether before or after you read the book, I would be delighted to. Please use the contact form on this website to reach out and we will find a time that works.
